Description

Discover a unique geological site in France: the fossil forest.
You will find fossil tree trunks and plants in their natural environment: the cliff of a former opencast coal mining.

Several stages for the visit:
 museum with fossil plants and tree trunks
 panorama of the landscape 300 million years ago and today
 video of the story of a fossil tree trunk
 train ride to the fossil forest through a mediterranean forest and mining relics
 paleontology workshop for kids with fossil tree trunks, dinosaur skulls and skeleton

Visit on your own: 1h30 to 2h00.
