Description
Opposite the magnificent Gorges du Tarn, the village of Montbrun is layed out in tiers with its façade dazzling in the sun.
The Amellio museum is located below the town hall; it is reached by a stone staircase. The aim of this museum is above all to remember the past. The first of its two arched rooms, is consecrated to popular arts and traditions, it displays various tools and objects which were used regularly in the daily lives of the village’s previous inhabitants. In the second room, visitors learn about the history of our planet with the use of crystals, minerals and other fossils which have been imported from a variety of areas.
